This year, Fashion's Night Out returns on September 8 and the Global Celebration of Fashion, now in it's third year, is going to be bigger than ever! For those of you who can't make it to shopping destination or prefer to skip the crowds, we're going to give you the full primer on how to throw your own Fashion's Night Out Party at home. Check back everyday up until the big night for a new tip!
Picking A Theme
All events start somewhere: the inspiration. During the 2009 recession, Vogue Editor in Chief Anna Wintour was inspired by the lagging sales retail stores in New York were seeing and the damage it had on the city's economy to create Fashion's Night Out, a night where everyone would set aside their qualms and go out and celebrate the wonder that Fashion truly is. What's your inspiration for throwing your Fashion's Night Out Party? Once you figure that out, you'll be right in line with the next step choosing a theme. Of course the big reason for the party is FNO itself, but having a theme can add cohesiveness and fun to the night, give your guests a chance to participate and make the night go much smoother. There are themes galore for you to choose. Bummed you couldn't make it to New York, bring New York to your living room with a New York themed Fashion's Night Out Party. Have a Sex and the City theme or pay homage to the original modern woman, Holly Golighty with a Breakfast at Tiffany's party and decorate everything in Tiffany blue. The night can be a tribute to Fashion Icons, or you can decide to add a Hollywood twist to things. The options are endless; there is no wrong choice and once you do choose you'll be ready to come back tomorrow for our next step: The Invitations and the Guest List.

Welcome To The Firm!!!
This day has been long in the works, and I'm so happy it's here! Welcome to the launch of The Firm! I've always loved big parties and events and as I've grown older I've really begun to pay attention to and appreciate the detail that goes into putting them together. I also love the world of PR. I love promotion and branding, and consider myself to be a mini PR maven in the making. I am so happy to be able to have this blog to share with you some of the tips I've learned and observed and make them accessible for everyone, no matter the budget because when it comes to simply having a good time, it's not about the money.
I hope you enjoy reading the blog and get wonderful ideas from it. Feel free to send in pics of your events or share about them in comments. And one final note, for those of you in the NYC Area: The Firm is an actual event firm. Want an exquisite unique event on a budget? You know where to call.
